Dan Wall

I initially found out about Crossfit from a coworker (Albert Vasquez), and was intrigued after watching several videos on the Crossfit main site. After coming in and giving it a try in mid-November 2008, I was hooked by the intensity and challenge of the workouts.

I work at a video game company, playing games all day, it’s tough, but it is not all fun and games, it’s just games. When not a work or at Crossfit you can usually find me in the pool. I started swimming competitively when I was eight and last year I swam 2.2 million yards, yes, you read that right. I like to race in the pool and out in the open water where anything can and does happen. I have competed in triathlons (sprint to Ironman distances), run races from 5Ks to 50Ks, and have biked double-centuries.

My goals are to be ranked top ten in my age group nationally for swimming, and to win the masters national 2-mile open water cable swim this summer in my age group (this year it is at Mirror Lake in Lake Placid). And, I would also like to complete my 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks this summer (4 more to go!), and enjoy every Crossfit workout.
